In the Snow

goats
Although we haven't had a real blizzard at all this season, the snow keeps on coming! The goats don't seem to mind. They make their paths and pretty much stay on them as they make their way around their pastures. Here the main group is impatient for their evening ration of grain. All of the does are ready to kid and have been getting grain for about a month now. I enter the pasture with a 5 gallon bucket of grain and get picked up and pushed around like a leaf in the tide. Those goats want their grain!

chickens
The chickens have finally started laying. I am easily getting over a dozen eggs a day. I thought they forgot how to do it! Theya re eager to get a taste of ground without any snow, and scrounge around for treats under a pine tree by their coop. We had to shovel a path to this area for them to get there. Just a little spoiled.
