Weekend Update
The Cornish X are in the barn right now. It gets a little chilly at night and they aren't quite fully feathered yet. They will soon be outside. I am starting to rethink the economics of starting birds so late. I won't do them so late anymore. But they are happy and growing fast and eating lots.
Someone on my local FreeCycle list was giving away apple parts from a weekend applesauce-making extravaganza. Turned out to be quite a garbage bag full, so all the goats got apples as well as all the birds. Apples are a sweet treat for everyone.
Gary puts the finishing touches on yet another portable goat shed. Next up: a run in shed for the cows.
