Lots of babies

We currently have 12 chicks, one tiny poult, and 12 or so ducklings. Here is a group of bantam Cornish.
They are enjoying a dustbath on a sunny afternoon.
I never realized Sussex were such good mamas. It took me about a month to find where this hen had been sitting on her eggs, and I only found her after they hatched. She is very protective and gentle with her chicks.
Here is Melody, out for a walk while she is recuperating with her broken leg.
She is fostering another baby duck.
Her poult is out in the grass, hunting for bugs.
A rare moment when he stands still.
Here is the last duck that Melody raised. Her name is Durkey since she thinks she's a turkey. She has finally learned to roost on the deck like her turkey siblings.
