Time to take the pigs

It’s time to take the pigs! It’s been difficult to reserve a time with our local processors. They book up quickly! As a result, we are sending these pigs a little sooner than we wanted, but we are going to the processor we wanted so hopefully it will work out. This year we are going to Bryan’s in Smithfield, PA. It is a short drive for us. We have heard great things about this place.

Here we are getting the pigs acclimated to the trailer. We have learned it makes them easier to load when they are dealing with something that is familiar.
