Our first snow.
I don’t remember it snowing this early in the fall before. Earliest snow I can remember (in recent history anyway) was around Halloween a few years back.
The snow quickly melted on the driveway, and the ducks and geese made a beeline for the mud first thing in the morning. The guineas were nervous when they saw the snow: it was new and they thought it was going to reach out and grab them.
The turkeys didn’t notice it too much.
The novelty of the first snow will soon wear off as we get into winter. And it looks like it will be a snowy cold one by all counts!
