With all the rain we have been having lately, the ground has been way to wet to work. We finally got half of the garden in this weekend. The raised beds are a new addition. They are placed in the wettest corner of our garden site. We may be getting a late start this year but I am hoping with their addition, we can at least get onions and a few other things planted super early next year.
I know it doesn’t look like much now but here are where things will go. Yet to plant are some herbs, corn, squash, cukes and watermelon. And the onions in the raised beds. I need to come up with some more soil for the beds. So far they are layered with soil from the garden, composted manure, sand, and a little more composted manure.
I think I have found the perfect spot for the rain barrels, don’t you?
