I think my tractor's sexy
It as a perfect fall day today, crisp with a cloudless blue sky (in the morning anyway) and beautiful fall leaves, mostly falling in to the ground. Yup winter's coming quickly. I practiced driving the Cub around, down the hill and even down the road a bit.

New Tractor
Well not so new at all. We picked up a 1949 Farmall Cub today.
It's not perfect but then it's almost 60 years old. It runs well. Gary is excited to have something to tinker with.
Even Murphy admired it.

Tractors and Turkeys - it's not all good
There are about 12 different way you can mount a tire to a tractor. Or at least this one. Who knew? Gary flipped the rim of the tire to give us more room in the back for the 3point hitch. Instead of the 4" we thought we would get, all told we gained about 10" each side.
The bad news is that my turkeys ganged up on Melody who I spoke of the other day, and her poults. While Melody is the sweetest girl with me, if any bird threatens her babies she will let loose. And she did. And broke her leg in the process. I have her in a coop now resting quietly. I am hoping for the best but I think I know what the outcome will be, and I am heartbroken.
